Marketing requires planning

As most insurance companies and agents will attest, marketing is a crucial aspect to being able to find and sell to insurance leads. But according to ProducersWeb, all marketing campaigns will fail if an effective strategy has not been established.

To help agents develop a successful strategy, ProducersWeb compiled a list of things it should include.

For instance, the source states a marketing plan should detail what a campaign's goals are, describing who the target audience is and how the objective will be completed if all runs according to plan.

ProducersWeb says not only should a campaign be clear about what how it will operate, but competitors should also be described, detailing what the company's strengths and weaknesses are.

Finally, the source states agents should develop standards, or benchmarks, that enable him or her to know if the marketing campaign is working or if adjustments need to be made.

As the saying goes, a failure to plan is a plan to fail, which is why every marketing campaign needs to be vigorously vetted before it's implemented.
