A new study is revealing the extent to which businesses are growing when leads are found online.
The survey, performed by marketing and professional services firm Hinge, found that businesses whose lead generation was 40 percent derived from the web saw their business growth increase four times faster than those not using the internet for leads.
In addition to more business activity, the survey also found that online lead generation led to higher profits. Firms where 60 percent or more of their leads came from the nternet were twice as profitable as companies whose leads were 20 percent or less derived from the web.
"Professional services marketing is undergoing a seismic change - new online marketing techniques are generating leads and spurring growth and profitability," said Lee Frederiksen, managing partner of Hinge.
As previous surveys have suggested, insurance lead generation is increasingly moving toward the internet. This study is the latest indication the marketing strategy is paying dividends.
