While every month is a good one to pursue life insurance leads, it's particularly appropriate in September as its Life Insurance Awareness Month.
The nonprofit LIFE Foundation is leading the campaign that unites the nation's 100 leading insurance companies regarding how they can better educate the public about their life insurance needs and why it's so important for consumers' financial future.
"As difficult as it may be for people to think beyond their most immediate financial priorities, the need for planning ahead with life insurance is more important than ever," said Marvin Feldman, president and CEO of LIFE. "Too many Americans are just one illness or accident away from leaving their loved ones in a terrible financial situation."
He added that it's the nonprofit's hope that consumers will put their future at the top of their priorities in September and buy a life insurance policy. According to the Life Insurance and Market Research Association, ownership of individual life insurance policies has dropped to a 50-year low in the U.S.
Producers should consider taking advantage of the increase in life insurance leads generated by this month's publicity.
